Song, Spirt & Soul: New Changes & Poetry Freestyle

Hi all,

I have not posted in a while but I have not forgotten about you! Currently typing via my only resource, my PHONE! I have recently made a huge move up to Manchester which I will be updating you all about really SOON! I have had to get to grips with my first job post uni as well as find somewhere to live!

Here is a late night Poetry Freestyle, written to inspire myself when you can't yet see the light at the end of the tunnel. Late night, insomnia I write wide eyed. No punctuation either.

Be better

All things are working to my good
All things that have happened
Are supposedly meant to have been
A part of a greater story to tell
bigger picture
It is all part of the master plan
Made from smaller ones we don't realise make up the master plan
The bigger picture
Some wonder where do I fit in
That's why I believe little time should be wasted on what ifs
Speculation causes time wasting
Delays the outcome you want to reach

SPIRIT POST: Father's DAY!

Hi all,

I am back! Currently again recovering from a cold.  I've found remedies, natural as well as medication to help in this season. As well as my rant on the FLU JAB, So stay tuned!

So today is Father's Day. I myself did not really grow up with mine in a nuclear family as such, but did see enjoy weekend visits until about six years old. Perhaps I will do another post on this at a later date. BUT. The point is we must still give thanks, as without our fathers we would not be alive today. No matter our situation with our fathers we, the children, are strong, alive and ambitious, striving to do our parents proud.

Today I was inspired by Omari Hardwick's words in Instagram post dedicated to the late Muhammad Ali. Below is a preview see the  FULL post here !

The words symbolise a rock, a father must be more than a giver of life but be an all encompassing, positive example of what a man should be, it is almost a Godly rite of passage. A father is there through thick and thin, good times and bad, for better or for worse. A father is so important to a daughter, in a daughter for a daughter. In this case Muhammad Ali's daughter Mayrum Ali. than you to Omari Hardwick, and thank you to all fathers.

Wishing you a great week!

SONG SPIRIT & SOUL Post: God is Love and Love is Light x Where Have I been?

Hi all,

I have been away for too long, but have been soaking up loads of ideas for future posts. Sometimes one finds themselves immersed in all, luckily my last post was a poignant one!

I have been MIA working, looking for full time work, composing as well as other creative and MORE!

What I've learnt is we must live each day to its full potential. We only have 24 hours in a day, 365 days in just ONE year, so if you want success it is important to get up and GO!

This month I have been focusing on POSITIVITY!  When we change out mindsets we are able to see things a lot lucidly. This means when negativity comes, it is easier to get past it QUICKER. Why? Because your mindset has changed. Positive mind equals positive life, this in turn leads to blessings as the energy you radiate is altogether positive. Not everyday will be perfect but the ability to overcome will outweigh whatever storm that you encounter. This is powerful.

Just remember God is Love and Love is Light, Light is inside YOU!

So, here is a blast of positivity for YOU! Please comment and share yours.

Song, Sprit & Soul : REPOST: 'The Not So Creative Side' - Beyonce: Formation x Race x Who needs an album anyway

Hi all,

Here is an introduction to a blogpost made over at 'The Not So Creative Side' a blog dedicated to the business side of the music industry. Read snippet below and enjoy.

_______________________________________________________________________________

So this post is both unplanned and poses some controversial ideas. It all started with 'Formation'Number 1 Beyonce has been on the timelines, in the thoughts and conversations of many this week. Number 2 as a fan I was stirred by the thought that unable to get tickets, I may not be lucky enough to see Beyonce in London this summer. Number 3 I just could not take the backlash any longer.

Proposed themes by @RonicaRonica

This topic is highly intriguing and there is much room for further research across the themes both race related as well as on the business side. With America being in such a state, along with the need for artists to stand out, surprising us into spending our coins. We will see a lot more of this. This is not the end to surprise tours, albums, performances and more! I think what better way than standing up for social change. King Bey wins here.

Product Review: Collagen + Beauty Milk

Hi all!

So this year it is all about regaining my body back. For me, once Christmas is over and the New Year festivities have come to an end it is all bout getting healthy again. I have joined the gym, well since November, and have been going. If you have not already I suggest buying some work out DVDs or attending your local gym as it is way too cold to go out for a run (my preference anyway.) With this in mind I was delighted to be sent Collagen+ Beauty Milk by The Protein Drinks Co .

I always jump at the chance to try out healthy products, especially since I do not consume enough protein and reach for carbs when snacking! With the added bonus of Collagen this makes this high protein drink nutritious as well as beautifying.

Collagen is an essential complex protein of the body found in skin, ligaments and bones. It is important in holding the body together. Now in terms of beauty it keeps the skin youthful, tight and soft. PLUS.

Strawberry Flavour
Size: 200ml
Nutritional Information (per bottle): 112 calories
Fat: 2.9 g
Carbohydrate: 9.8 g
of which sugars: 9.8g
Protein: 11.9g

With Vitamins C, E, B12, B3, B6, D3 all with 100% RI
Green Tea extract 50mg
Hydrolysed Collagen 5000 mg

So far I have taken this product for 3 days, after workout. The flavour is great, and the drink is smooth with no protein powder lumps or bumps. It is very sweet and you do get a sense of satisfaction upon drinking. It digests well, for those with sensitive stomachs. My only complaint is that it is not a larger sized bottle. I do not find it incredibly filling as some other protein shakes can tide me over until the next meal, but with this shake I could nibble some nuts or fruit in order to be satisfied. For me this is essential as although high in protein I do think if the consistency was thicker and sugar content less it will be more satiable.

This is a great product though, and you can have your protein and be beautiful with it. For me not suited for breakfast as not filling or satisfying enough, but a great snack on the go for an in between supplement.

I rate this product 4 Stars ****
